ok guys i have a few questions for you. has anyone tried an SAFC,upgraded injectors, hard IC pipes,FMIC,higher boost. from my understanding on this car the compression Ratio is 9.1:1 or something in that range.
i am looking at help a friend with his car. his car ran a 9.9 at the track.i think the car has alot more in it than that.

i currently drive a 89 Dodge Colt GT 1.6L turbo. the car has seen 8.9's at the track.and yes the car came stock with a turbo.

any help from anyone would be great.

safc doesn't work with our car cause our maf sucks . there are members running the other mods though. but not many people can control the fuel yet. none of the popular piggybacks work, except for the greddy emanage but that only controls fuel, not timing. so far it's either a full standalone or MPI's piggyback with a different maf and extra injectors.

btw, are those times for a 1/4 or 1/8 mile?

yeh some one has to get on the ball and get some sort of tuning out for us.....why is the greddy only fuel manable? doesnt have 16x16 ignition maps?

yes those times are 1/8 mile.

please explain more about the Mas Air Flow sensor sucking on those cars?
the whole point of an SAFC is to change what the ECU sees. you can always upgrade the MAS.

anyone know what size injectors are being used in the car?

i had a SAFC on a highly modded fuckus and found out the Ford ECU would learn around the SAFC.
also for you guys who use a/f gauges have you looked into the digital gauge for actual numbers instead of blinky LEDs?

AFC= WE will change this soon

i think we're all excited about this :)

turbo- the injectors are 283cc i believe...either 280 or 283cc. and high impedence if i'm not mistaken. and well, our maf doesn't suck, it's just that its design makes it difficult to tune the car.

actually they are 300cc
and its really not the MAF its the ecu

300cc really? huh...i know i read 280cc somewhere on here. but they are high impedence though right?
They were averaged thru specs from mazda. In reality they were flow tested and at stock fuel pressure they flow approx. 300cc
yes high impedance
