Oil sprayed out of exhaust

Hey Guys - I havent had any smoking issues with my car up until the other day. i was letting the car warm up for about 5 to 10 minutes while waiting for the wife to finish getting ready to leave. As we were pulling out of the driveway I noticed a puff of whitish smoke come out. I revved the engine and more smoke. After 2 or 3 revs it stopped but i noticed to oily marks on the driveway that look like the were sprayed from the exhaust. Any ideas if this is just because I let it warm up too long or maybe because it was 7 degrees outside and maybe some condensation got in the exhaust. I really hope my turbo is bad : (

Are you 100% sure it's oil? It's not uncommon for water vapour to pick up exhaust soot and spray the ground with black spots. I've never heard of oil making it all the way back and out the exhaust but rub some between your fingers to see if it feels like oil.

yeah like i said on the other forum, its not oil. i doubt oil would make it past the catalytic converter(s). its probably just water with soot like LBV said.

Did the Turbo still kick in when driving, or was it sputtering? Most of those with the white smoke have a leak or need a new turbo. How many miles do you have on the car?

19k miles on the car and the turbo seems fine except for the random loss of power when its cold out

Strange. You could always just have it checked out to be sure, well under warranty, however, I am surprised to hear that you get loss of power when its cold. Mine always runs better with colder weather. By the way, did you get your clutch done??? I think you PM'd me before about where I go to get my work done.
