I went to do my routine change of the air filter on sunday and found oil in the filter and the rubber flex hose/pipe running up to the intake. The filter probably had an 1/8th of a quart in it and the hose/pipe was saturated and all of the flex groves were full of oil. I remember having a similar problem with my 2002 Taurus which also had the 3.0 V6 dual overhead, but it was never this bad. Any ideas on what I can do to make this problem go away? I believe that it is the breather hose coming from the valve cover to right in front of the throttle body/intake that is causing the problem, but what do I do about it? Can I just block them off or will that cause other problems? Any help from other 6'ers out there would be great.
