OEM head unit removal

I want to swap the OEM Kenwood head unit in my MP3 with a Pioneer DEH-3200 but I'm not very good with audio stuff. I've taken out the OEM HU out of my P5 before and that was pretty easy, but I have never attempted the MP3 Kenwood one.

So I have a couple questions.

1. How do you remove the OEM HU? Do I need a special tool? Is it just a standard Kenwood removal tool?
2. Do I need to remove the radio pocket?
3. I assume the wiring will be different between the Kenwood and Pioneer HUs, so how do I wire it up correctly? Is it all universally color coded or what?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I just stuck my hand in through the glove box opening and pushed it out.
