OE Moonroof Wind Deflector 1st vs 2nd gen

About to get a 2nd gen CX-5 and I still have the OE moonroof wind deflector from my 1st gen, has anyone tried installing these on a 2nd gen car? The part numbers are different, 0000-8P-R02 vs 0000-8P-R06, but from pictures they look nearly identical. Looked over the installation instructions for both and they seem very similar as well.

I'll probably try it either way and report back in a couple of days.

that’s a pic from my 2019 I posted. It’s an easy install. The one I have, which is genuine Mazda, has a hook like metal bracket that you slide under the metal frame on both sides and the front, and then the screws tighten it up. I’d imagine it would be the same, but can’t say for sure. post a pic of your bracket and I can see if it’s the same.

This is what I have currently. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the mounting hardware looks very similar to what I saw in the directions for the 2nd gen version.

Yeah, that looks the same as I used on my 2019.
