I got a rather strange issue with my power locks as of late. This started happening last year and now it has progressed that I want to do something to take care of it.
The issue is that power locks will UNLOCK the car but will not LOCK the car... unless it is warm (ie: above 80 degrees for several days) or if I heat up the interior enough that allows the locks to work. I am not sure why heat would make a difference on if they unlock or not but regardless, it is quite annoying to have to try to deal with it.
If it is cold, the relay will click but will not lock the doors from the remote or from the door switch. They lock just fine manually with no resistance, etc.
Any ideas on what could be the problem or I should look at replacing?
Also, I need to replace the door panel clips, is there a place that has them for cheap and/or know a place I can get them at? Any special tools, etc?
