Noise in Clutch Pedal Assembly

Hello,

I have an 09 Mazda3 that I've had for a few months, that I bought used. It has around 14,000 miles on it now, a shade under. Anyway, I just started noticing (not that it wasn't necessarily around before - I just started noticing it) a noise in the pedal assembly. Its past the halfway point pushing down the pedal, going down and coming out - it hasn't affected how smooth the clutch is, and may have been there the whole time and I didn't notice it. Either way, it just feels almost...dry?

That noise doesn't sound "bad", per say - it sounds like just the mechanical operation of the pedal, but I'm not sure if that is normal on the Mazda3s. It is more noise than I've noticed in the other manual car I've driven a significant amount, an 02 Protege. I can't really notice it at 20mph+ when the engine is louder, but when shifting at a light, stop sign, or from a start it is readily noticeable.

Thanks.

that could be a throw out bearing, but at such early mileage... dang.
also, could be just the shift fork, try putting some high temp grease on it, should quiet it down, also lube up the master cylinder. I did it and it quiet down a lot

Dealership lubed it up, said that it looked fine. It is smoother now, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Thanks all.
