New ( wrtitten off ) Mazda3 2007 - Help?!

Hello all - Guys and girls..............I'm msging out of Canada BC, So if any locals see this tag me up "eh" LOL

Any way I just bought from what I thought to be a great car.
Its a rebuilt written off mazda 3 2007 hatchback 2.3L loaded 24,000K 5spd Auto.
I was told its all front end work mostly plastic, but well obviously its a complete surprise car and I am just finding things about it as I peek longer and longer under the hood.

Ok so here is the deal.......I been seeing things like a broken inner passenger side CV boot. Zap strap and electrical tape holding some of the more smaller parts to the frame, IE rad hoses to the frame and electrical wires zapped to the frame instead of nestled into their C channel housing.

At this point in time ALL I want to do is inspect and fix any problems I can locate my self. The boot will run me 80$ CAD locally and from what I can tell and hear is the belt tension was hit and is making a odd clicking clanking sound when the engine runs, when I turn the engine off and snap my finger or a screw driver at the tensioner I hear the identical sound.......I assume thats my problem. Don't know what that will run me?! Since its all dealer items, nothing after market YET.

The engine hoist rear and front where both moved from its original vertical position, makes me believe it was hoisted out to work on the broken frame and front end. I also see sings of movement on the heads of the bolts that bolt the tranny to the block right under the flywheel..........Lots of broken plastic parts, like the rad cover that faces the motor, the air intake filter housing, some other MISC plastic, and in general its a REAL ****ING SURPRISE car and I am really getting annoyed.............Last time I buy some thing like this. Not bad for 14,500$

OK so I need your help guys and gals, I am mechanically inclined and I can do almost any thing on a car. I have been checking and looking over the engine and tranny as best as I can, can some of you give me some tips to check for?
Area where coolant can leak, oil leaks funny sounds grinding noise - ANY THING AND EVERY THING you can think of PLEASE!

The tranny fluids is full but seems a little dark, slightly burned maybe?
At 24K I don't think you can KILL a tranny, even if you are hard on it.
Engine oil is dark and some is missing.......Oil and filter change obviously.
I plan to flush and change the tranny oil to Mobil 1 full synthetic.
CV boot needs changing. Might as well drain rad too and fill her up.
Where is the drain for the rad?

I realize my questions are all over the place, but I am currently pulling my hair out with 1 hand and typing with the other......I really hope this car survives and works for 5-10 years, I regret buying it but its WAAAY to late to go back.

SO then any and all advise information tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

I also plan to do stage 1 2 3 of the mods from this site - Nothing aggressive, possible nitrous oxide in the end too, possibly! Right now I want a safe driver with no issues..........Oh yea just remember the brakes shake a bit when I apply brake, so I guess Ill fire the rotors on the lathe and have them turned down, and then just slightly sand my pads so they assimilate to the machine rotors faster.
