2006 MazdaSpeed 6
Hey guys, i introtuced myself in the lounge, but thought id post a few pictures of my car as well. I got myself a 06 mazdaspeed 6 from a auto auction. Got 48k miles, damaged to the passenger front side, not too bad. After shipping and everything, she turned out 6100 for me so far. Hoping to get her done with 9 grand if not less.

Do my frame rails look out of wack to you guys?

hood 300, bumper 300, fenders are 300 for both, radiator support 250, headlights 900 a piece, and radiator/condensor/fans are around 1000. those a dealer prices. good luck finding most them used. i have 4k in parts in mine and it was hit just the same.

got mine for 3500 shipped to me..

looks like youve got your hands full. goodluck !!

sorry im no help with your question, hopefully someone much smarter than i comes in soon to help you out.

if you don't know if they need to be pulled or not, you will find out quickly when you get parts and start to put them on. that's how i learned that mine was off just a hair.

bumper 300. hood 320. fender 120. pair of headlights 150 (i dont know how i got them that cheap lol) reinforcement 300. core support 50. all the other stuff is small. thats 1200 so far. still need a fog, fog light cover, grill, 2 headlight brackets, air flow bracket, windshield washer resevoir, and thats about it. :) i think she will turn out around 9 grand for me. How much did yours turn our supra?

Yea, we've all been watching supra's job on his, and it turned out nice. And, he is absolutely correct--parts are going to be a pain, because they are MS6-specific...$$$...

As far as the frame "rails", it's difficult to tell, because the shadows are messing with the contrast. It looks as though the RF may be off, but it also looks like the front of the engine to most of the blow--might get a little expensive there, too.

You didn't mention if it ran, or was driveable. Supra's was, which probably helped with his rebuild efforts.

The rest looks fine, good luck with your build. And welcome to the forums!

i have $7500 into mine. it had 46,600 when i got it. i got lucky with the headlights too, got both for 250 shipped. i had to get a lot of my parts through the dealer, which luckily, my dad gets 20% off parts. that really helped out too.

i have the radiator and the fans and all that, wasnt damaged. No blow to the engine whatsoever. It runs and drives, purrs like a kitten. I drove it home from about a mile from my house.

Havent you had it for quite sometime now? Still not done? i hope to have mine done in the next month or so. I kinda got screwed over on this one. Got it for 5300 from the auction. Thought my dad was going to pick it up with his semi, but to my luck, he was out of the area already. When i looked at pictures, the damage looked only to the exterior, no frame or anything of that sort. Got it home, and bam.....frame damage and bumper reinforcement dead. Sucks but oh well. if i get her to turn out 9 i can still make some money on it. No big deal....Hopefully my dads trucking business gets the 20% as well....

it's just minor stuff. i'll have my fog lights on finally next week, just waiting on the bracket to come in from the dealership for the drivers side. i've been driving it for a month and a half. but waiting till i have my fogs in to call it complete, lol.
