Mazda2 Sport
Hi, I'm new to this forum. My current car (Scion xA) has a broken gear box after 180,000 miles, so I've been looking for a Mazda2. I recently found a used one at a great price.

I'll be seeing it tomorrow, and hopefully buying it shortly after. It will be my daily driver, but I plan on getting back into autocross if I ever get the funds.

Although I don't currently have a Mazda, I've owned a few in the past: '82 626, '74 Rotary Pickup (wish I had kept it), '86 B2000, '89 323 hatch, 2000 Protege.

I can't wait to own a Mazda again!

And you won't be disappointed. The 2 is about 200 or 300 lbs lighter.
Get some sticky tires, and least a rear sway stiffener, and have fun. I autocross mine.

Yes! We agreed on a price (private party), and will finalize the sale on Tuesday.

During the test drive (my first time in a 2), the thing I noticed the most was how precise the shifter is.

should wait for the 2016 =D

I wanted to wait, but my old car died at 180,000 miles. And I just could not pass up the deal I'm getting on a 2013.

Well, it's been 6 weeks, and I finally got my 2. (The previous owner had trouble with their bank and DMV trying to get the title.)

It's a 2013 Sport, Spirited Green, 5MT, with only 8600 miles. It's got a couple scratches and dings, and after I bought it, I noticed the one rear tire is a different brand, but I only paid $10,000 for it. Green was NOT my first choice of color, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

Now I have to post some questions to the other sub-forums.

Get a set of 205/50 15's Nitto NeoGen tires. Don't keep driving with one tire different - you can have serious traction issues. I found these tires cheap at walmart.com, but don't let them put on the tires - go somewhere else. Yes this will fit the car w/o rubbing. And you will love the results.
