Just wanted to say Hi. I just picked up a 16K mile 2002 Midnight Blue Protege5 as my daily driver/parts hauler/winter car and love it!
I had, and loved, a 323 GTX (AWD, turbo) in college after growing up with many family Mazda's. My 93 RX-7 is my track car and baby so I thought another Mazda for daily use was only appropriate. Plus, I'm sure when (not if) the RX-7 is broken the Protege will serve me just fine at autocrosses or open track days.
I am an engineer for an automotive supplier working on ABS and stability control. I'd be happy to try to answer any brake/vehicle dynamics questions from a manufacturer's point of view in return for the help I know the forums can give when things go wrong.
Thanks,
Alex
