Hi All, just got a 04 Mazda6 Sportwagon. Love the styling, but a little concerned about the motor. Have some smoke on cold starts and check engine light just came on. Taking it back to the dealer, hopefully, nothing serious. Coming from a F150, great improvement in fuel economy(rofl2), but haven't been impressed by your forums so far...

you will become more and more impressed with the forums, trust me. i was slow at first then picked up quite a bit once i started paying attention to the responsiveness and knowledge of the members other than that, congrats on the purchase! and welcome to the smoke on cold start that quite a few mazda's have. let us know what the dealer says the light means and what they do of it.

You can stop by most AutoZone or similar parts store and have the codes read for free. After a quick google search of the code you should be on the right track. Post the code here and the members usually chime in with suggestions and similar experiences. Could save you some hassle, along with a boat load of cash fromt he dealership. Belated welcome BTW.
