- 2001 Mazda Protege ES
Hello everyone my name is daniel and im now officially on my first protege it is a 2001 sunlight silver protege es 5 speed, bought it for 1000$ listed as a mechanics special, so far I still havent got it fixed.. tho isn't my first mazda I've had plenty before snd I suppose my mx3 halfway qualified because I swapped in a bp.
anyway my car is driving me nuts!
starts and stalls
no idle
violent shaking
sometimes will idle on its own for about 30 seconds
I can keep the car running if a second person starts it and I constantly adjust the tps
Attempting to rev the car up forcing it to run, it runs like crap til 3k rpm then runs perfectly normal.
in an effort to fix the issue I have replaced all the parts below.
timing belt and components
fuel pump and strainer
fuel injectors
throttle position sensor
mass air flow sensor
knock sensor
pressure regulator control solenoid
ignition coils
spark plugs
spark plug wires
I changed the stock header to the JDM catless header
no cel is present except for the second o2 sensor which has been deleted....
if anyone could help that'd be awesome and I look forward go posting more on the forum!
