I keep finding new pics for my desktop on this forum I tell ya..

In the words of Spoonie Luv....that engine got the ba-donk-ka-donk look......triple fat. Need to get one of those clear hoods so one can see the inner beauty and effort.

Hey Stou, how do you like the SDS AIC? I'm thinking about using one of those when I go supercharged and was wondering how easy they were to install and use. I even found a local distributor in my area.

Looks very clean! I love the flames on your charge pipes! Did you do that or did you get it airbrushed? I might steal that idea from you. I can't wait to get mine installed now. I think I may be able to do it this weekend! I also love the way your decals blend in with your blue paint.

Question. How come everybody removes the grill in front of the intercooler? Is it for show, more air or does not fit with it in there? If its just for more air, I would rather keep it and reduce the chances of a big rock on the highway damaging an expensive component rather than the negligible airflow loss.

Other than that, looks awesome Stou :).

Chris

It's mainly for looks. Not much more air goes in there from removing the grill. I'm also still debating wether or not I want to remove mine for the intercooler. I'll probably leave it in for daily driving. Then take it off for shows.

Thanks guys.

Maz95Protege, right now the total cost for all the parts and installation of the turbo, exhaust and clutch is around $6000 cdn, or $4000 US.

Traveler, the SDS controller work fine. We only had some problems with the injectors fitting but John at Extreme Machine, did very good custom fitting.

Doomer_MP3, yes the intercooler wihtout the front grill is for showing. When I use my car as everyday ride to go to work, I put back the front grill.

Big_Ben, yes I did the airbrush work myself. When do you think you will get your turbo setup runing? I can't wait to see some pictures of your setup!

Stou, I'm glad you asked because I love talking about it. I took the MP3 to the shop to get the down pipe made today. When I got there and he saw the turbo he said he didn't have the flange for it and couldn't get it. So I knew it was the same flange for the mid 90's Saabs so I went to a junk yeard and bought one from there for like $20. So I'm going to make the down pipe tomarrow. Then that's it. I've also got to make the charge tubing. I'm going to take them to the powdercoating shop within the next few days and all that's left after that is installation. It should be up and running by next weekend or the weekend after that. Just in time for HIN. I'll take some photos along the way. I can't wait to get everything in!

I just jizzed all over myself:eek:

Stou, that is beautiful man! That flame job on your charge pipe is schweeet:D

The blue on your intercooler pipes? is that automotive paint or spray can?

Man everything is comming together!

Thanks spoolin. Everything is automotive paint. Base coat/clear coat system.

Big_ben, that sound good. I can't wait to see that! What color will be your pipe?

Not only did you already have a hot car and add more power...its officially now a sexy beast :D Did you run the 1/4 mile yet...we are going to have so many turbo guys on this site...hmmm...maybe we should have a dyno and 1/4mile showdown...;)

Thanks Antoine.

I did 2 try this morning with my G-Tech and did 15.16 at 101.3 mhp on the 1/4 mile.

I had my clutch installed 2 days ago and this is realy the first time I can try my car correctly without any slipping clutch. I need to tuned a bit more my setup. I have a kind of flat spot after 5500 rpm. The power look like it stop to go up compare to under 5500 rpm. I need to check if it's cause by not enough fuel or ignition. The car run great but I'm sure it can be a lot better and can get under 15 on the 1/4 mile.

I just ran a 14.65 in the 1/4 @ 99 mph with really bad 60 foot times. This was launching at 4000 rpm feathuring the clutch.

90 degree weather
sealevel
80% humidity
7.5 psi of boost w/ 11 degrees of ign retard
Amoco 93 octane

I think I can get better times in cooler weather and up the boost to 12 psi with c16 race gas. This should net 13's
