Mazda, CX-5 Touring
Hi all,

Finally Test drove a 2015 CX-5 touring today, have had 2 Miatas in the past.

So happens 3 weeks ago some Idiot slammed into my 2014 Subaru forester and it is this week getting Totaled! so been shopping small suvs, CX-5 was Just what I expected from Mazda as far as performance, handling, mileage. SO glad they now have a more powerful engine. I would not have considered the 2.0L.
The one I will get has the stock Infotainment center, Its not that bad IMO I paired phone, played music and spotify all easy...and I thought it sounded OK, I am sure there is better in this area BUT no car is perfect.

cannot wait to get Insurance payoff so I get get it . (nana)

After 1 year 17K miles "test drive" with the Forester XT premium Turbo.

1) Requires PREMIUM gas and mileage not as good.

2) Driver seat is worst I have had in decades, others on Forester forum have even sold the car due to this expect a sore butt on long rides and is SHORT bottom seat also
One of the first things I looked for in the CX-5 was seat comfort WAY BETTER

3) Interior is outdated, Headunit I think worse than the CX-5's

4) CX-5 Steering feel is night and days better than Forester.

5) overall maintenance costs are more than CX-5, I also DID talk with dealer about getting a 2015 non-turbo premium which is closest $$ to CX-5 they would not bargain enough with me.

Now if true all-wheel drive was all you wanted FORGET getting any MAZDA go with Forester...Subaru has this better than any other in this catagory

If you can, wait for the 2016 model. The 2016 seems to fix a lot of the little things, like the head unit!, that were problems with the car.

well I got a great deal at years end, and NEED A CAR.. maybe we can buy a 2016 headunit and swap it next yr?
