ok i know this is like the gazillionth thread that starts like this but bear with me, i need ya'll on this one:

i am going to meet with a local shop at the begining of next week to follow up with them about mass producing a short ram intake for the msp. i am going to use this thread with the name of people that would purchase the product as incentive for the company to participate. their work is incredible and as soon as they say it is ok i will give the shop's address and information. but i need to see how many people would be intrested in a short ram intake, with a cone filter (prolly k&n) that could be shipped for about $150. i need people who are not going to do the standard "count me in/back out when payments are due" thing. so i guess give any suggestions and post if you would be intrested in the intake. thanks

now dont let this turn in to something ugly, i am still in the early stages of this deal... but the faster i can get people to show intrest in this thread the quicker things can get rolling on production.

havent SRIs been shown to decrease performance on our cars due to the location or something? (uhm)

oh god....not this again. This is not true...i wish people wouldnt believe everything they read...especially on a board.

once agian... this is not a thread to flame me or anyone else for wanting an SRI, it is mearly to gauge intrest. thank you for not destroying my thread.

yes do not ruin this. I know plenty of people who have SRI's and work fine. There are many variations of an SRI.

I was going to be making one for my car,but this sounds nice.
but I'm real picky about what goes on my car.

what is it made from?
what size filter?
will I need to move anything(ie,overflow.b.p.v.)
heat shield?
port for B.P.V.

not hating in any way. I am very glad to see people supporting the msp community. I was just asking a question about the product.

so not having met with the fabricator yet i will venture to guess that the intake will resemble the wagner SRI but will have a heat shield.

Seriously, make this stuff. I would love to commit myself, but I already bought an Injen... maybe I'll sell the Injen.
Id buy your injen if you sell it!!! (cool)

ok, so as of now it seems that people are interested as long as it somes with a heat shield. and to answer wicked's questions:

1- prolly stainless steel, but im not sure as i have yet to meet with the person fabricating the part.
2- it will be the same size as the aem intake's filter.
3- no, you will not have to move anything.
4- working on the heat shield
5- you wont need one on the intake, but it will have a place to put the maf.
