2003.5 Stock MSP
Hey guys. I already posted in the MSP forum, but I was told about the New England club as well. I'm new to the MSP world, but certainly not new to cars or car forums. Just picked up a 2003.5 yellow MSP. Completely stock, although it is missing the amp/sub/remote (pissed) . Picked it up from a dealer for just under $13k (which I guess is not too bad of a price, considering a saw a private seller looking for $16k). It is my new daily driver, and love it! I can't believe how well this thing handles from the factory So no mods yet, but I don't think that will last too long.

I also have a '95 GSX which I basically built from the ground up. Made over 300 AWHP on stock cams and pump gas on the dyno on a crappy tune. I blew the motor over the summer (stupid 7-bolts) and now I will be building up a 2.3 or 2.4 6-bolt and throw on a 20g (FP Red or Green). I also own a '95 Talon AWD, but I am selling this, as the MSP replaces it. And finally I have a '97 CBR 600 which I absolutely love as well.

Anyways, I am not expecting too much from the car (it is my dd and needs to stay reliable), but it can definitely use more power. Planning on doing a custom FMIC with new hard pipes, exhuast, mbc, and go from there. Thanks for having me :)

I used to stomp around worcester, good times-fast chicks. welcome to the club.

I was...'rents live off of Mill St. as my profile said RIP my lil P5 :( As for ppl who are in woosta....Bryan and Ryan are the only two, that come to mind most are from CT and a few out by the cape ect.

Are all of the 4g64s 6 bolts?

It's not really worth it to do a custom FMIC since there are good, affordable options out there. I offer two good options myself:

http://www.speedcircuit.net/product_info.php?cPath=21_26&products_id=75

As for exhausts, this one is really nice:

Anyway, welcome to the forums, hope to see you around the board.

I live off of Grafton street in worcester, I'm a new mazda owner myself. Congrats on the pickup. I wish I had a Mazdaspeed. I was too cheap to spend the extra 3,000 bucks. I still love my P5 though.

and I've met a few of these guys, chuyler1, astral, bazooka joe, they are all good people. Hit me up if you ever get together.

Actually I believe most, if not all are 7 bolts, but they do not have the same crank/bearing problem that the 7-bolt 4g63 has. Any car can crankwalk, it's just that the crappy bearing design (supposedly the actual problem) used on the 7-bolts (until the update for '98-'99) led to the infamous crankwalk on 2g's (and later models 1g's).

Well my GSX is my race car, so any extra money goes there. $900 is just too much for a front mount setup. There is no real rush to this, so I can almost guarantee I can get a front mount and make all new hard piping, including a bov, for $300 or less. Maybe a little more considering couplers and T-bolts. If this was my race car then I would certainly go with the tried and true products, but this is not the case.

The exhaust looks nice though, although does any one have any data compairing a 2.5" vs. a 3" exhuast on the stock T25? It's such a small turbo I can imagine there would only be a small difference, if any. Although the price difference is usually not much of a difference between the 2...
