New guy about to take the plunge

Just thought I would finally make an introduction thread. I should (if all goes as planned) be putting a deposit down on a 08 MS3 today. I can't go see the vehicle until Saturday but I want it there waiting for me. The turbocharger has already been replaced by warranty. I'll make sure to read up on any other little things that might sneak up on me. My wife has the regular mazda 3 and she absolutely loves it. I might as well 1 up her.

I'll make sure to post pictures soon. The car is a 2008, Red, 35k miles, and the dealer is asking $15,999. We'll see how it ends up.

Good luck with the Speed3 purchase. That price sounds pretty good, especially if it is the Grand Touring model. Make sure you come back and let us know what happens.

It's just the regular MS3. 35k miles, had the turbo replaced 10k miles ago. Other than that I'm limited to what I see on/in pictures. The dealer has had it for over a month so that generally means it's time to move it. They don't want to pay for it to be on their floor plan so it will probably go to the best offer. Salesman kept giving me the a bunch of other people have come to look at it line. Might be true, but seeing as how it's the most expensive MS3 in my area for $16k or under I think they might be exaggerating slightly.

Picked the car up last night. Proud new owner. Car has all LED's for interior lights and signals, HKS BOV, and THAT'S IT. I'm stoked.

Not sure definitively. Looking to see what the differences are. From my guess 2008.5

2008 has silver dash trim and seat inserts. 2008.5 has piano black trim and black seat inserts. If it is the GT model the seat inserts will be alcantara instead of cloth.

So, I got bored. Did some minor aesthetic upgrades. Saving for the high dollar stuff now.
