New CX-7 Electric Blue owner!

I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have posted a few things on this board but thought I would stop in here and say hello. I got an electric blue touring model with tech package on Saturday. I just had to get that CX-7 in the blue with the sand leather - it is very fresh and it seems to be a head turner! I have my turbo badge on order and I think I found someone in town that can install some mirror turn signals.

This is my first Mazda and I am really surprised how well it rides. I test drove a Nissan MORONo (why buy a vehicle that sounds like moron?) and the Ford Edge and I cant figure out why someone would even buy either of those models. I drove the $36K ford edge version and it drove like my 2004 Ford Taurus (company car)... The Nissan was just too expensive, but hey that is why some people buy certain cars because they cost more. I have a feeling we will be seeing more CX-7's on the road in 08!

I am trying to figure out if I should get the turbo flash, it seems tolerable but I dont want to tank my MPG because of some extra acceleration, unless that is a myth.

Congrats... you'll love the blue, it's so unique. I've yet to see another blue one anywhere.

I had to have mine shipped about 500 km, it was worth it.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is that they now offer blue with black interior, I would have prefered that myself.

ya, they had to trailer mine in from out of state. I almost got the galaxy grey but I just thought that with the black leather was a bit hot, so I am so glad they found the blue with the tech package.

BTW - The tech package is great - the keyless thing takes some getting used to but the nav is great and the MP3 player is very nice!

Hooray for the Electric Blue. It's a great color especially at night. Everybody is admiring my blue CX7 as well. I have the black leather which is nice and a PITA at the same time because dust is readily visible.

I love the electric blue. The salesman thought I was nuts when I was ready to walk out the door when they couldn't find the Blue/Sand combo. He said I might have to compromise on a different color. They had never seen it in person, but when it came in from out of state they all understood.

Love the tech package. You should get the auto locking feature enabled. I love it.

It's funny you mention that... my dealer looked at me like I was stupid when I said I wanted that feature (enabled). I said, uhm, I paid for it, and I don't want to pull a big card out of my wallet everytime I get in and out of my vehicle.

I love just leaving that card tucked in my wallet... no more car keys is nice.
