New car purchase and feeling stressed

Hello;
Feeling very stressed to trade in my 2005 Honda crv for a 2025 mazda cx30 gx. Reading that they don't make mazdas like they used to. Also reading of all the electronic glitches that can occur causing headaches and inconvenience to owner. I understand that vehicles are equipped with way more electronic components but I feel like I'm stepping into an unreliable vehicle. Honestly I'm so nervous about all the things that can go wrong that I'm not looking forward to this new vehicle AT ALL!!!

18 months into a CX5 Prem T. It has a lot of bells and whistles. It hasn't been back to the dealer.

Does it work perfect? No like 99% perfect. The fuel mileage history doesn't work. I got along without it in the past and it's not worth my time to take it in for this item. I could take the battery connector off and let it reset. It's not worth my time to reset everything of this item.

Mazda rates highest or near highest on reliability. I had an 09 Honda previously.

I've been all over the CX5. Dropped the engine and transaxle, rear cradle and other stuff modifying to my tastes. It's better built than my 09 Honda or new Hondas. Mazda is like OCD wiring and supporting wiring and tubing. I'm amazed how many places they support stuff with special brackets. This translates into fewer problems down the road. It's a major PITA modifying!

The engine has better components. Like the crankshaft and rods are forged. This is race engine stuff. Water pump is HD. Belt tensioner is built to last. Trans has GEARS not a belt like Honda and Toyota of today. It's a high end trans like Lexus or Acura. The switches feel like quality. I road in a new Honda and it didn't have a feel of quality like the Mazda.

This is stuff the car critics don't see and probably wouldn't understand.

GL with you purchase.

My unsolicited advice: Follow the maintenance schedule to the letter. Keep the fluids changed, not just OIL per the schedule and it will last. You don't have to use the stealership. A trustworth shop will be fine. Just don't let them talk you out of doing stuff or other stuff. Go by the BOOK. I keep a spreadsheet log because I forget what and when. It keeps me on track. I scan in receipts for easy retrieval.

Then you have an excellent chance of this car lasting 200k miles.

Good luck and enjoy your new MAZDA!

Thank you for the sound advice! Is the maintaining schedule included in the vehicle manual?

My advice: get a CX-5 or a Mazda 3 or any other Mazda made in Japan. I have a CX-5 made in Japan, and a CX-30 made in Mexico. The quality difference is huge. The CX-5 has been flawless, the CX-30 not so much. Panel gap inconsistencies, shaky HUD, fit and finish issues, rattles, inconsistent parking sensor warnings, radar cruise control braking for no reason etc, are all part of the CX-30 experience. No such issues on the CX-5.
