New 2 Owner, New to 247.

hey just got a Mazda2 (first in my family of mannnyyyy honda/honda owners)
had a wreck in my fit and totaled it so insurance gave me all my money back (woooo) and i got a 2. and i love it, more than the fit actually

hope to learn some stuff from this place already seen a bunch of great things.
dont have anything done to it right now but i plan on buying a bunch from corksport and racing beat so ill post some updates in the future.

i just now today saw 2 more 2's one green one in my schools parking garage (art institute)

and then i was bored and watching hwy59 and saw one go by lol

!!! wow i go to school at the art institute off 59 and i take 59 to either 45 to home or 288 to belt8 to home lol

i live off dixie farm and blachhawk in friendswood/pearland but its considered houston (annex)

thats crazy to find someone so close lol i never see 2's

I haven't had a permanent car for a few months and have been having trouble deciding (for the price). The Fit is one option, but having had an original Insight for 11 years, the mpg rating is not as much as I would like (plus there's not much budge with the sticker price). Actually, nothing is. I'm not crazy about the 2 colors; I want something visible while driving and easier to find in a parking lot, but the green (which is mostly what's left) is a bit too noticeable. I may not have a choice about that though.

So, I'm curious, what do you like more about the 2 over the Fit?

Exterior looks, city mileage, interior design, 0% financing, and possibly the driving characteristics. Although, upon test driving the 2 and driving my girlfriend's 2011 Fit hundreds of miles, I'd say their handling is pretty damn close and world's better than everything else available in the class, including the Fiesta. For me, the things working against the Fit were Honda's crappy financing, the quality and look of interior materials in the car, and the sound of the car at highway speeds.

However, if you need utility (WAY more cargo space) and don't mind the looks of the Fit, I'd have no problem choosing it over the Mazda2 if you don't need to finance the cost of the vehicle. Both are reliable, fun to drive, and get good gas mileage, but for me the Mazda2 felt a touch nicer inside, looked better, and gave me the better price with the options I wanted.

The headlights do kind of suck, but at least the Fit's fog lights actually serve a purpose. I love the fog lights on the Fit from a functional standpoint. Great when on winding back roads and in parking lots and stuff.

well i only drive auto cuz for some reason they only had auto fits and 2's. but i need it for rush hour everyday (school) but the fit i got around 35 normal and almost 40 if idrove like a grandma
the 2 as u can see im getting around 34-45

but the fit has a 5 speed AT idk why mazda did the 4spd. since the jspecs have a 7???

so really normal daily ther about the same
