need immediate help fuel pump

i cant figure out how to get the stock rretainer off of the factory piston assembly. it seems like it has a lip that the factory piston wont get by and i dont want to mess up the retainer because thats the only one i can use. please help quickly!

nevermind....a few solid hits with a soft cloth and a small hammer rattled it out. its all good. a hammer on your fp internals?!?!?! lol. sorry to all who just had a heart attack.
