2000 Protege DX, manual. I would like to install a cruise control, i have pulled all the components i think i need from a ‘01 protege LX Automatic. I did not grab the ECU.
I was wondering if my ECU will recognize the CC unit when i splice the wires into my main wiring bundle, and if anyone knows if the clock spring is wired for the CC pendant. I know it has the pin out but not sure if its wired down to the plug behind the passenger left kick panel.
If anyone has a check list of parts that i should have pulled from the donor for this project please let me know. Im not sure how long the donor will remain at the pick n pull.
What i have so far:
Map sensor and solenoid to diaphragm
Diaphragm and vacuum line to intake
Cable to pedal
Pedal with main and cruise control hooks
CC unit (under passenger right kick panel)
Wiring to sensors pertaining to CC with ecu plug attached.
CC pendant with shroud and mount.
This is my current project.
Next will be a top end rebuild. As my engine has 318k miles on it. So if anyone has links to rebuild kits on a budget that would be awesome.
