Need Help on dash kit install on my MP5

and I ordered a kit from Metra(Dash kit part # is 99-7505) that should've fit both the head unit and the mazda but it's too big for my head unit.

Any suggestion/alternative dash kits I should look into?

I have the same Dash kit and an Alpine double din head unit in my Protege5 and it works ok. There is a small gap around the head unit but it's not too noticeable. Does the head unit have a trim piece?

anyway it has side brackets, I think those were from the Jeep dash kit

That kit comes with a lot of extra parts that you won't need. It must fit in other vehicles also.
