My time to rant

While i dont post alot ,I have noticed that posts are becoming overloaded with what I call non information. People add info that is not relivant to the topic posted .thai makes it difficult to get to the real info in the post. It would be great if people would only post about the topic post instead of going off on a different tangent . Yeah I know I will be flamed about this but I am sure that others feel this way but dont want to say anything .

All seriousness aside tho'. A thread is like anyother live conversation. Sometimes it veers a little off track.

I get the joke but this is exactly what i am talking about . If you dont have something to say about the topic dont post to raise your post count

I understand about veering off topics but some times it is totally out in left field and stays there . Mods should be on top of this and get it back on track . . I really hate haveing to wade through 5 or 6 pages of absolutly nothing to do with the topic posted .

One of the best things about this forum over others is that the Mods are pretty laissez-faire. I like watching how threads evolve. But I do agree how many just want to cause trouble.

Off-Topic posts don't count.

yup threads do get off track and back on track then off track again.
sometimes it makes sense to just leave a thread alone... other times i'll say something. or just delete it.
My personal feeling is:
1. Currently it is winter here in this hemisphere, people are in school, it's cold, some just spent $$$ on Xmas and aren't modding or even driving their cars right now. So the off topic section is going to be flooded with junk.

2. It's human nature to expand on a topic between a few people with different opinions. Now try a conversation between thousands of people at a time.

3. It's up to the members to KEEP things on topic. We mods only really step in when we have to. That's like asking cops to stop bank robbers... before they rob the bank.
You have to control what you post. We just monitor it and adjust if need be. We're nobodies parents.

4. I'm doing my best to keep "Off topic"... well... "On topic"
(that truly is as crazy as it sound- but that's what we are all asking for.
