I have alot of plans for this new ride. I already have replaced the bad rear shocks with Bilstien sports.

I am a ***** at times ;)

What model bilstiens does the S4 have? Maybe it is because they are installed on a Passat with an oversized engine...hehe...j/king...

I really like them. I need to get them on the front. They are so much better then the Boge/Sachs that were on the car.

They're the sports, the same you bought. I actually do believe they're originally designed for the V6 A4, but then again the S4 has the exact same sport suspension that was an option on those cars anyway. Either way, it's weird, it's got that soft/floaty feeling at highway speeds(but not in the good way, in the *oh s*** if I hit that bump @ 60 mph im going to rub way), and it's decent in the corners, unless there's a cm sized pothole in the road. Then it just sucks.

What do you have for springs on the S4? I've never experienced what you are describing on a bilstien equipped BMW.

nice project you've got there. who's POS monte carlo did you park next to because those graphics are awesome.

Thanks. Do not even get me going on about that Monte SS. It is owned by a co-worker of mine who thinks it's the best car in the lot. Come on now! There is 540s, M3s, 330s, a 335, and a Z8 at work.

H&R's. I'm sure some of it is to do with my springs since I'm @ 25.25" GTF and the coils are pretty much touching at the progressive part sitting still. But then again, when I didn't buy the nice adjustable perch sleeves for the struts it was sitting at more like 24" GTF, which gave me a nice un drivable wheel tuck. I was trying to get a slightly firmer suspension with a mild drop and ended up with a horribly super soft suspension when driving normal, floored to the ground drop. Then my whole doing it for cheap went out the door when I dropped $300 on adjustable perches. Overall I wish I had not bought them and went straight to real coil-overs.

hey now, FWD needs love too. Except the retards, a V6 in a traditionally RWD, V8, American coupe being a retard.

I would swap them out for a lowering spring that would be a slight drop. Eibach Prokit for example. That is what I installed on the Altima.

This is a FWD supercharged 3.8.

so it's a retard that torque steers? (ugh)

Oddly enough, I think those are stock. It's the Dale Earnhardt version if I'm remembering correctly.
they are. It's american/ Monte carlo heaven around here for some reason.

Back on topic. So my next two mods are going to be a AFe intake and a Sprint Booster.

Here is my second mod. A high rate flow water pump. BMW's are known for having problematic cooling systems. I went ahead and replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, belts, and pulleys.
