Well I had an idea and i tried it out but it didn't work too well. Oh well! Check out my disasterpiece. Let me know what u guys think

Anyone have any carbon fiber tails they wanna sell me?

First pic is a before pic

i actually dont think it looks that bad, it looks pretty decent, i just dont like how it goes in like that if you can get a lens to cover everything i think it might look a little better, why dont you mess around with them a little more and see what you can do...good luck with finding new tails if thats your decision

thanks for the semi positive comments :) I may decide to revert back to stock but Im still not sure. They look decent but I don't think they fit the car very well. without the covers they don't line up with the body lines very well.

u must have spent mad hours on that one taillight. I think it would look good if the rectangle section (turn signal and reverse light) was whited out. if u need a taillight check out ebay. there's a carbon fiber set that one company sells that has no red reflector for like 80 bucks.

No I had it whited out at first and it didn't look very good. I tried the siver to see if it would make it look any better. where did u find the carbon fiber set on ebay. I can;t find any anywhere! I looked all over Ebay

so put the covers back on or do they not fit right, i think maybe if you put them on you will like the look.

i think they look alright. i give them a 6.5 out of 10 where id give the carbon fiber ones a 3 out of 10. the cf ones look tacky in my opinion especially since they dont look anything like real carbon fiber. so. id say either keep workin on them or revert back to stock. (thumb)

I have some chrome altezza's that came with the car that Iwould trade even for your stock tail lights. I sprayed transparent red over them, looks alright but if you wanted you could use paint thinner and they would be back to original altezza's.Not carbon fiber but the same.

call me crazy but I actually like them a lot, much better than a pair of altezzas IMO. Good work.....maybe you should leave them on for a while and see what happens. I know if I spent that much time on a project I'd prob. start to hate it no matter how good it looked, but maybe that's just me. Great job and props for trying something different.

Those actually look pretty good, but the paint is slightly off. I think with the paint matched it would look great.

Thats the thing. I took the covers off and smoothed out all the slots where they used to insert in order to get the smoothed custom look. They wont go back on anymore

actually the paint is really close. Its just that my car is so dirty it makes it look off :)

thanks for the offer but im not a big fan of the chrome look. I like the carbon fibers cuz I am kinda wanting to go with a black and white theme on my car.

I think if you used the actual mazda paint it would look the best. This picture shows a noticeable difference.
