Just got back from a trip to the Appalachians. I can say that the 3 handled the mountains and the curves superbly. I made my son throw up twice from going around all those curves. What can I say, those 35 and 20 mph suggested speeds around curves are just that, suggested. It doesn't mean I can't take those curves at 45-55 mph's. The 3 handled those curves like a champ, but the occupants didn't. I Averaged 45 mpg on the 860 mile round trip up there and back, plus all the driving I did while I was up there. My best tank was 49 mpg's, it was on the way back home, I was averaging 55-65 mph's most of the time with some 45 and 35 mph's zones thrown in. My worst tank was 32 mpg's, that was with going over two mountains, through the Smokey Mountain National Forest, sitting in a two and a half hour stop and go motor cad through Cades Cove, and then going back through the National Forest and those two mountains. I have been impressed with the mpg's, they are better than advertised. I did use the sports mode a lot.
