I have found that when turning either left or right i can hear like a scraping or almost a grinding like noise of some sort with the stock wheels and tires and have noticed that the caliper tone or appearance has changed somewhat, after putting in after market wheels 7.5/18 and tires the sound when turning disappeared.Caliper clearance was barely enough with the stock wheels and tires, but now its more ,could that have been a reason and did you guys have similar problems or noise coming when turning. Its hardly noticeable, but it was there.I will post caliper photos soon and my new rims and tires i hope you like`em they are so much softer, comfortable, quite, unbelievable grip and cornering ability.Truly an amazing upgrade and feel.(outie)Road noise has decreased considerably, whilst adding grip and traction at the same time, what a difference.I could have gone alot wider i think but its enough for now.

Yes i guess 99% of MS3 owners in here think its normal, because its difficult to tell but that noise should definately not be there and it isnt there anymore on mine.I suggests you guys test your cars very carefully and investigate into it.As i said its probably a defect that owners like you are disregarding it and don`t realise its a defect. Please research into the matter.

I didn't have the scraping noise, but I did have a humming noise, and yes, only when I was turning right (over about 20km/h....with a passenger in the front right seat). I've had quite a bit of experiene with disc brakes (actually as a mountain bike mechanic), and I'm almost certain that this noise is caused by a very slight rubbing of the brake pad against the rotor that occurs because of some sort of frame or suspension flex during cornering. The brakes rub only enough to give a little bit of constant vibration and the humming noise, but as soon as you actually compress the brake pedal the slightest amount, the noise and vibration would go away (at least on my MS3).

I guessed that after a few weeks of owning the car the problem would go away as the brake pads were worn down and more clearance was made between the pad and the rotor....and yes, after a few weeks the sound and vibrations did go away.
