MPI tuner random idle?

Here are the new maps i have created. My idle feels much better..Even though sometimes my idle still runs lean..I haven't tried putting 0's yet..b/c i had it stall couple of times..

I had to make the idle box a 4 to have it run a little smoother at idle. My setup is totally different than yours. I have a bigger turbo, intercooler and exhaust so mine need a little more fuel and a little less timing down there. I can't put a 2 in the idle box because it will die, so the 4 is good for now. Next time I'll try a 5 to see how she runs and I will also pay more attention to the A/F to see if it does what others have said.

yeah ...at idle...you numbers are def going to be different..b/c you have a larger exhuast.

basically at idle..the a/f in..bounces around 14's..before..i tuned it..it would go from 13's to 15's(dunno)

Now it basically goes from 14.1-15.1

Hello Dana, you should try to tune your stock injectors. You may fine that you can work the idle better.

Thanks again

Chas,

You may find that when you lower that idle square, you may want to reset your ECU.

In Global settings, what is your Fuel cal number(Zero cal)?
I have 4 in there and on the fuel map, the number plugged into the cell is 3.This made me idle good.

Then there is the fuel calibration. I was under the impression that Chas already had his set to 5?

I have not reset my ecu..But i will try it out..

My maps have changed considerably..in the past 2 weeks. I was runnin a little lean uptop 12's a/f..but than i went in and changed my Analog Fuel Calibration..

I originall had it set to 5...Now i went upto 7.

Here is my new map. I had some small issues when driving off boost..but i have adjusted my rpms..and it has helped some.

So you changed your fuel cal to 7 and now you have neg numbers in the idle box? I have my fuel cal at 5 and I can't go any lower than 3 in the idle box. If I put a 2 in there it stalls. The 3 seems to run fine on mine, I have about 2.0 to 2.1 volts at idle and that's where you want to be.

The volts are like 1.8-2.0..Nick entered the negative numbers...We are testing somethign out.
