MP3 Test Mule Needed

I was at an autocross event this weekend and ran into an MP3 owner. Long story short, I find out the MP3 shift boot is as bad as the MSP boot. So, I was wondering if anyone wanted to be a test mule so I can verify that the custom shift boots I make will fit with the MP3 setup.

oOh yea..I have the Kartboy as you might see in my sig, but I still have the stocker and plan on switchin them out for the purpose of testing..

You sure do...The colors of stitching I have are grey, yellow and orange. I tried some blue, but it looked really bad on the black vinyl. I can fit about 12 letter/spaces...no special characters.

Is the kartboy the same height for the MP3 and the P5? I guess I'm confused a little, cause that's what I thought the kartboy site said, but looking at the MP3 stocker and the P5 stocker, they seem way different...unless it's all in the knob.

Anyway, I'd be happy making one for either...looks like I'll be getting a MSP shifter for the wife instead of the kartboy...so I need an in there too (P5/MP3 karboy I mean...assuming they are the same)

Anyway, from the looks of the one I saw, it looked like the MP3 shifter was close to the same height as the MSP's.

ok..The MP3 shifter and the P5 shifter are not the same, but I believe it is in the "knob"..i kno the stock MP3 knob doesnt fit the P5..

the P5 and MP3 kartboy are the same.

I will take one for the kartboy then..

Sounds good...I guess the part that had me confused is where kartboy says MP3/P5---1 inch shorter than stock. Or whatever it says on there site.

So, I guess I still need a stock MP3 person to step up.

The difference between the Protege 5 shifter and the MP3 shifter is that the MP3 shifter is shorter above the pivot than the Protege 5.

They are the same below the pivot.

The Kartboy shifter is shorter above the pivot than both the MP3 and the Protege and longer below the pivot.

The Kartboy shifter is the same for every Protege it goes in. It is one part.

The MP3 shifter also has a different thread for the knob than the Protege 5.
