Mp3 lowering info?

I went for the green springs, Tein. They are sitting in my room until I have time to get a couple friends to help me install them in a few weeks. I read 2 inch drop front and 1.4 inch rear.... either way, these springs are probably $40 - $60 cheaper than the Eibachs.

Void my suspension warranty... screw Mazda, they can't or won't fix it anyways (well over one year and still no progress on our clunk issue). I'll take my business next time to buy a different car and it won't have a Mazda badge, that's for sure.

what about the gold line springs for $139 with a 1.75" drop to all four corners or even the sprint springs with a 2" drop to all four corners for $175 does anybody know of the quality of either one of these springs?

the clunk issue your refering to... is this the shaking of the car while accelerating from a stop while the engine is cold? or is this clunk something else?

clunk is something else. sounds like your talkin about clutch shutter or wheel hop. the clunk is expierenced from the swaybars on the MP3 and MSP

i'm suprised you guys haven't mentioned the Tein SS coilover kit yet. GC's are alright in most apps but they don't even compare to Tein.

What about Tein versus JIC?

Tein SS has been mentioned a while back, but you'll have to use the search forum to find that discussion. From what I hear, Tein can't compare to JIC either....

I think you might mean the other way around... JIC doesn't compare to Tein. JIC is overrated, IMO. I may get flamed for the comment but I really don't care (flame on ). The shop I work for researched both companies and was about to go with JIC but due to numerous customers and even employees using JIC suspensions on their cars (ranging from street to full race cars in a variety of applications with anywhere from skilled racers to the novice weekend spirited driver) the JIC's always had something wrong with it, not to mention most times struts blew out or something really outrageous you wouldn't expect for the cash you dished out for the set.

Tein is affordable yet is still reptutable. A lot of the japanese tuners use Tein on street as well as race cars. They are the #1 suspension company in Japan as of late (before it was GAB).

I'm hoping I can pick up an SS set and hopefully match or upgrade the current suspension setup that Racing Beat/Tokico worked hard to achieve while also giving it a lowered, aggressive stance. The other good thing about Tein is mixing and matching new springs, spring rates, revalving, rebuilding, etc. etc. doesn't take forever, customer service is great and is something you'd expect out of an awesome suspension company.

You won't get any flames out of me. I have no inkling personal experience with coilovers.

I do read some of the threads on this forum and some other folks have a different idea about the JIC vs Tein.

Although, it could be specific to the Tein SS coilover version for the Protege.
