I can get mobile 1 oil pretty cheap, I have a Speed3 and I live in Canada and its pretty cold here.. What grade should I use??

there are tons of threads on all this oil use. use what the book tell you too, and if you feel like it go one grade lower like from a 10w in summer to a 5w in winter. thats what i do. everyone is going to tell you diffrent stuff and this thread will probably be 5 pages long in a day or so. But just read your owners manual.

I searched but I couldnt really find anything. I did read the manual but it doesn't say anything about synthetic in it?

Would a 0-40 Mobil 1 synth be too low?? Reason I as is I work a Benz dealership and thats what we carry for our AMG's....

If it's good enough for Benz, then it's good enough for Mazda - besides the price is right ! (thumb)

Just spoke with my shop forman and he says the 0-40 is probably the best oil you can put in any car for extreme cold and high temperature driving.. Looks like 0-40 it is

I would bet there is a reason Mazda puts thicker oil in the turbo cars. If you read your owners manual you will see that the N/A's get 5w20 where as the Turbo's get 5w30. Of course if you know better than Mazda, sure use 0w40.

You see I don't know better than Mazda, I know Mercedes-Benz, thats why I'm asking :P We also have good Quaker state Q 5-30 here as well... i just want the best for my beast ;)

Yeah man I just say stick to the book, no real reason to diviate. I am sure Mazda has taken into consideration the temperature variation of Canda to Mexico.

None, mobile sythetic blows ass in turbo cars, its way too thin when at operating temps and seems to dissapear faster than any other oil. spend the extra money on a better fully sythetic 5w30 or use the mobil 1 semi synthetic version if your stuck on mobil 1.
