wanted to get opinions first. there's a set of the old RPM2 18x8 with a 45 offset avaialbe close to where i live for a good price. they're hyperblack and never been mounted/used.

the other question is what rubber? considering that my stockers only have 1K miles on them maybe i should just use them?

I was going to get RPM2's but they were just discontinued at the time and I couldnt find them anywhere so I ended up with RS7s. They are a 18x7.5 so the stock rubber will be fine, when the time comes i'd replace it with a 225/40 though. Thats my plan.

this set happens to be 18x8. i know stock rubber will fit, just don't know all the effects of stretching the tire a little and if the offset is high enough.

Oh right the +45 offset was 18x8, the +42 was 18.7.5 it will leave the lip of the rim unprotected and a 215 has a suggested max of a 7.5" but you should be ok until you wear them out.
