Finally got it from the parts dept. at work yesterday...came out to $143.75! So, it was unusually slow at work and I decided to attempt to install it.
What a pain! Anyone who is going to do this, you should buy 2 new bumper braces(the metal braces that hold the lower rear sides of the bumper in place) or you will be screwed. As you have to remove the bolt that goes to the brace, it'll be rusted to hell. The first one I put the rachet on broke right off. The other one I sprayed with PB Blaster, then carefully added torque, and it broke right off too. So I had to remove the braces completely, and since the bolt goes into a welded nut on the braces, there's nothing you can do with it.
Becides that, it's also a pain to hold it up and align it by yourself...I was using a lift in the shop and it still sucked...I ended up putting one of the 6 C clips on it and the bumper to hold it up, but the clips have little metal spikes that dig into both parts, making re-alignment difficult.
Anyway, I held both sides up using screws through the pre-existing holes that the braces go to, then got on all of the C clips. Not having a drill bit, I used a screw to drill out the rust and crap from those 2 side holes, then used a bolt, 2 washers, and a nut, on each side. I pulled the airdam mounts sorta tight up to the splash shield, then used the supplied self tapping screws in them. Then I got 6 self tapping screws and just went and screwed through the holes in the airdam to the bumper. You're supposed to drill then use the supplies bolts/nuts, but again no drill bit so I made the project my own.
Lastly I screwed in the ends to the bumper.
It's on strong...maybe someday I'll do it the right way. I need to find 2 bumper braces though.
Pics!
Mmm, it looks awsome!
