I want to run a meth setup as well. Essentially I will only be leaning out my Maps correct? I think the best bet are the AEM or the likes that are gradual so that it's not a sudden DUMP where you may end up needing to tune AROUND a sudden dump of Meth. I want an AEM or a Snow kit but the Labonte kits look good as well. There is a Labonte one for sale in the FS that includes the controller and what not. Its new as well. Good luck Pat.
god damn, i placed my injector right in front of maf sensor!! I dont know if the injector is too big or not but I got misfire when the pump activates...
Yeah the kits are a few bucks but in reality its not a big deal for what your getting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you get and seeing the results.
ok guys fixed my problem, by placing injector before maf will **** up the reading... thats why i got misfire, ive just drilled another hole after maf, everything is perfect now! And most amazing thing is, after 30minutes of run, the intake manifold was freezing cold! I mean so cold like its pulled from a fridge! DAMN!
OMG 5 gallons....seems like a lot of extra fluid to lug around. I rather just fill the washer tank and call it a day. I found some HEET before I left town at the NAPA store. Im again really looking forward to getting something like this setup. My cold pipes actually are REALLY hot to the touch. I mean REALLY hot specially after running the car for part of the day.
Linux, ive been looking around at these kits a bit lately and the labonte kit seems extremely nice. upgrade to the 1 gallon tank and call it a day. 5 gallons is a ridiculous amount especially for a daily driver.
also, i would not recommend triggering the injection with the e6x. ideally, you want the injection to be progressive (volume increases as the load increases). according to a tech at haltech, the e6x does not have the ability to create an additional map for the water injection (so... it only has on/off control).
you can buy a progressive controller from labonte (other kits also come with a progressive controller) or you can seriously think about upgrading the e6x to an E8. it would be nice to control everything through one unit. The E8 has the capability of building a water injection map that can be tuned however you see fit.
you do not control the aem kit it comes with its own progressive controller. it controls everything to do with the pump and how much its spraying. that kit has a lot of saftey/warning features as well thats why im getting it
