Mazdaspeed Protege Center Cap Emblems!

I recently got my hands on a set of the 17 inch Racing Harts that came on the speeds and the center caps all had the infamous damaged/faded/ratty emblems. I googled for about 2 hours to try to find a solution and found NONE. So I jumped on my catalog (I am a Mazda parts manager) and looked for a car with replaceable center cap emblems. I came upon the 97-98 Protege and found what I was looking for. They aren't quite as nice as the ones that came on the caps, but for $7.44 list/ea, I figured they were just fine. If anyone is interested, the PN is G14H-37-192.. although there appears to be 13 total left in the warehouses. I can get my hands on the remaining ones if anyone is interested, or you can go to your local dealer and give the parts guy the number. Anyway, here's the pic...

The one on the left is obviously the old one. The new one isn't as thick, but lays in the spot perfectly. NO ONE made the required 44mm emblem that I could find. Anyway, wanted to share because it seemed to be a common problem and no cheap way to fix it.

thats an awesome find! when i bought my mazdaspeed wheels they were missing 2 center caps and one was cracked just like the one above. i ended up buying 3 MP3 CCs.

Cool find. Are you thinking that after the 13 are purchased, there will be no more?

I'm not sure. Sometimes they will produce more of this king of thing but often they will discontinue stuff for the older vehicles

Reviving an old thread to add information on another solution. Recently I found that one of my MSP Racing Hart center caps emblems was cracked pretty badly. Knowing that the rims were made by Enkei and that the emblems are 45mm, I went on ebay and searched "45mm Enkei Center Caps" and came up with a set of four Enkei center caps. A good alternative if you don't mind showing off Enkei's logo instead of the Mazda one. They cost $14.99 shipped from Hong Kong for a set of four. They also have a carbon fiber version, but it didn't look as durable.

These rims are becoming more rare as time passes. Hope this info helps for those that find it in a search on this forum :)
