Mazdas247.com goes racing in Canada with Doc B Racing!

I want to thank everyone for all their kind words of support! It means alot to myself and the whole team. We are proud to be partnered with Antoine and his Mazdas247.com website!

I would also like to let everyone know that for those who come and visit us at the races, Antoine had some special mazdas247.com decals made for us to give to special fans! I have a limited number of these so I hope to see many of you in the paddock.

Regarding special projects, we are still working on them. I will have some announcements soon....we are working on some new body parts (AKA splitters).

Again....THANK YOU EVERYONE!

The window whiper is going

damn mazdas

No....just a crew chief who is very supersticious...he thinks if he puts the wiper on the car it won't rain!!! I ran it all the way to one side and shut it off there......

Hey nice pic from the past!!

Notice the nice adjustment to the passenger door by a BMW...he didn't get by though, hit me and ran wide off the track!!

Awesome news! Great to be able to root for another Canadian Protege baby!

Tom, looking foward to seeing you out on the track and competing with you. We will be campainging our Race Prepped Protege 5 in the CCTCC as well! See you out at Shannonville!

Great work and good luck in the upcoming races. I may just stop by to the Toronto race as a birthday gift to myself. :) Again good luck to you guys!

PS-yeah those splitters are gonna sell, woot woot!

what kind of suspension you guys are sporting, since most of the coilovers kit in the market so far have hit a dead end, can you guys cheap in on what you using ??.

We are using a Koni custom built coil-over setup. The struts are the same as used on Indy cars with the mounting custom made by Tri-point.....otherwise known as big dolarinis....(shocked)

Sorry, wish there was a better low cost alternative for the street....what kind of price range would you guys be willing to spend...maybe we could modify some existing coilovers??

i am more thinking towards an actual shock for the protege. Most people who are actually going to use their time to look into a good shock setup are going to use Ground controls so they can put their own spring rates in. Its all the more reason i wish koni would release a bolt in shock but its not gonna happen.

i've seen the car up close, and i have to say its pretty impressive. (even though it was in bits and pieces) and the front splitter? HOLY CRAP thats one massive piece!! it more than just a splitter, its a full under tray that extends back behind the front wheels. can you say MASSIVE downforce? Tom claims it ripped off the front of the car the first time they ran with it.

Tom: have fun this season!!

Well the big issue is the price, so based on that i'd say most ppl can afford something around 1k and w/ resonable custom suspansion.

a friend of mine put together bilstain w/ coilover spring kit (adj about 10 heights) and that set up is preaty strong imo, he got A4 1.8T AWD.
The ride is great(a bit stiffy though). I was thinking of doing the same but can't find the bottom part cuz bilstain's don't have any thing close for protoge so far, AWR has something like what i want to do but their's over priced kit imo.

could we see more pictures of this car? like close up pictures? its got a great paint scheme

except for no. the awr coilovers are by far the best commercially available coilovers for the proteges hands down
