"Mazda Radar Cruise Control Deactivated" after brake job - can't turn on (2017 CX-5)

Update: all solved, message is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.

Had my rear brake pads replaced. Did procedure to deactivate electronic brake modules via accelerator pedal, parking switch and the push-start button until (P!) lit up. Did pad replacement, did the procedure to engage the electronic parking brakes again. Upon the first start the radar cruise control deactivated and I can't activate it now - just keeps saying it's deactivated.

Any ideas?

So, I guess it just cleared itself out once under way on the road with nothing further from you? Or did you do something else to clear it?

Radar cruise is linked to the traction control as well. If you turn off traction control, the radar cruise won't work.
FYI, the regular cruise will still work, but not the radar cruise.
Maybe the OP accidentally deactivated traction control.

Hello, based on what you explained it seems to be an issue with EPB. did you make sure that both the parking brake is functional. To make sure turn on the ignition and engage/disengage parking brake 3 times.
