Anyone know anything about this? Anyone have one installed?

Dealer knows they exist, knows how much they want for it, but thats the absolute limit of their knowledge.

Don't want to have to move -back- to CD's only in my brand new MS6!

I'm sure they'll charge you big bucks for something that should be standard equipment on all cars by now. My wife's old '95 Gallant had the input but we never used it because it also had a cassette and a 6 CD changer already built in and we didn't know what an IPOD was back then.
Anyway, I suggest you pickup an FM transmitter for your IPOD (pickup cheap on EBAY...)FM Transmitters

1) costly (+500$CDN)

2) made by Fisher (notcool) (iirc)

3) those of us who have the Bose system lose the 6cd capacity

4) you have to buy the faceplate i think...

You loose the 6CD capacity?

Screw that noise ... guess I'll stick with what came with it and keep my eyes open for something "aftermarket" somewhere down the road.

I'd skip the FM transmitter if I were you. I've never been satisfied with the sound quality coming from those (and I've used some good ones).

You might want to look into the AuxMod. I put one in my wife's 3 and it works great (and is no more expensive than a "decent" FM transmitter).
