Mazda Dealer Surveys?

How long after you picked your vehicle was it before you received the survey?

The salesman did the natural, "Please give me 10's on the survey when you get it! My boss wants nothing less!". I didn't receive the dealership survey until two weeks after I brought the vehicle home via email, then Mazda sent me a survey (regarding the actual vehicle + company) a month later. The reason I gave them 2's and 3's for most of the questions is because they treated me poorly after I brought my CX-5 home. I'm glad the survey took a bit to get to me because if I had received the survey the day of, the numbers would've been much higher.

what good is a survey about the car buying experience if you aren't honest...if i can't be honest, i don't bother filling it out....i got a mazda survey and a dealer survey and i told them what they did well and what i thought they could do better on. as a matter of fact the service dept got all 10's they are awesome, the sales guy was fine, 8's and 9's for him, the finace guy was all nice and chummy till i said no to every single warranty he offered, he go low marks when he turned into a sour puss!

One of the questions on the survey should be "Did anyone associated with the dealership make you aware that you may be receiving a survey after your purchase?"

Because it's likely prohibited by Mazda for dealerships to even mention the survey. And the manufacturers have no way of knowing how unbiased the survey results are.

Auto dealerships are based on antiquated business model and the laws in various states protecting such business models should be voted off the books. My next car will likely be a Tesla, especially if their recently announced AWD model works as well in the snow as the CX-5 does.

I'm bummed I didn't get mine, I really wanted to give my input!!

How long has it been?

If much longer than normal, it's likely your dealership is dishonest and has figured it's a good idea to game the system by substituting their own e-mail addresses.

You could call Mazda USA and inquire why you never received a survey.

Like any system with rules or laws, it is most functional and useful when everyone plays by the same rules or laws.

I purchased on May 31st and picked it up on June 2nd, so, yeah, it's been awhile. I think they knew I'd be honest on it, so, I'm sure they probably changed my email, or whatever to make sure I didn't get it. I emailed Mazda through the myMazda.com site, but, haven't heard from them yet either.

I have a question for you people who intend on or returned survey's giving a bunch of 2's and 3's.....why did you buy from them in the first place? I would never buy a product of any kind if I was getting treated like a 2 or 3 on a scale of 1-10. Do you have any self respect?

It all depends on how the question is asked, I'll give honest feedback. He's not getting all 10's because he asked for them.

I have plenty of self-respect.

But the fact of the matter is that a new CX-5 is only available from a Mazda dealer. Those who have multiple dealers to choose from (without driving hundreds of miles) are fortunate. My time is valuable so I buy at the only dealer in my area.

Brilliant car, crappy local dealership. Good thing the car is on track to be the most reliable car I've ever owned.

Should I leave a bad survey for the salesman not offering 0.0% financing? With a credit score of 800+ the only reason he gave me for not getting 0% is because the price was already too low. He claimed that a 1k rebate was already given to me and I could either choose the 1k off or 0% financing; not both. The 1k rebate was never mentioned until the finance rate came up (i feel like this was a sales tactic).

What do you guys think? The 2.99% isn't a big deal but if i was lied to, I don't think the salesman deserves a high rating. If it is common practice and 0% is not realistic in most cases, I'll let it slide.

The Mazda Finance rates I was given back in May was 0.9% for 36 months or less and 1.9% for 48 or more months. I'm in NE Ohio, in case location has anything to do with rates.
