Was wondering if anyone have installed a short ram intake on a CX-5 2017+ non-turbo on their car? What's it like for you?

This evening I read an article about a new Japanese motorcycle coming to the US this year. It had ram air. Raised 77 HP to 80 around 130 mph. I flew an airplane once that had a ram air system that bypassed the air filter. It added 1" (about 3.7%) of manifold pressure at 180 mph. That cannot be as much as 3.7% more HP.

There is no possibility ram air can be useful in a car at any quasi-legal speed. The CX-5 has an excellent cool air intake system. You will not beat it by a detectable amount and will add lots of noise for your hundreds of $$$. Why would an powertrain engineer leave free HP on the table when all he has to do is make the filter and a few hoses larger?
