I am doing what I can here about the situation, you can be gauranteed that. The mistake of going off of what my supplier said was my mistake. Thats a downfall of being trustworthy...

However they did not lie about anything, nor did I. I was just lacking info that no one had even dug into yet (626 manifold similarities). So the past 2 weeks I have done quite a bit research, 626 research. I am still gathering a few tidbits too, I will keep you guys posted.

And if this so happens to be a Mazda part, LOL, not really laughing, the manifold will be brought onto the market differently and the price will be adjusted if need be.

I guess it is all out now, and it is a time deal. Thanks for letting us know, and I guess we will see how it all pans out.

CULLEN-take two of your manifolds and compare the part #'s to a actual 626 manifold.

sounds legit. glad to hear they are doing research. but i'm still thinking they are different. just a hunch. trust my vendors (thumb) .... sometimes .... (shady)

Why bother removing the EGR then? if it deters det?

quick and easy for now. After some testing I would eventually put the EGR back in (if I were to do this). The performance loss has to be minimal in comparison to the saftey and purpopse of the EGR. It should not be hard to bend up an EGR pipe - it is compression fit on both ends I believe.

BTW,if you guys do this MANI,you need to make everything factory fit to it,and it will be SMOG legal.

according to appendix K in the smog laws,ANY intake manifold with ALL factory provisions is exemp from a EO #

Got manifold today, the only diffrence is that mine came with the damn VTCS
butterflies(argh). Everything else seems the same, just need to remove the

VTCS and have it ported then hopefully get this egr plugged up and be rockin'

n rollin'.(thumb)

So it's the same thing as an MSP IM with the VICS removed? I thought the whole point was to get rid of both VICS and VTCS. VTCS will be very dificult, if not impossible to remove. VICS is the easy one.

you lose some low end.. but on higher powered cars that is desireable for traction etc...

VTCS is easy to remove.. just pull the vac acutaor off the side... remove the butterfly plates and pull the actuator out. Then just tap the hole in the side of the mani and put in a plug and you are done... the holes between runners are fine as mazda shares runners anyway... then you can do a mild port with a dremel to remove the steps in the runner and you are up to having a great and ported mani.

Haha, oops. Not enough sleep and too much caffine. I guess I'm the ass that got them mixed up this time!
