Maxxis MA-V1 Tires to replace OEM?

maxxis makes some nice downhill mountain biking tires....I never knew they made automotive tires though. Can't find any reviews of them on the net either.

Look like your basic all season- why not just go with the kumho's for some better grip?

I agree, as I haven't heard of the brand either. Depending on your needs and thickness of your wallet I would get something with more history. I would also suggest Falken 512's and Toyo Proxes 4 for all season's that have more stick.

If you don't really have to worry much about inclement weather though, just get some good summer tires- any of those brands would be a good choice.

Thanks guys. I was looking at the Toyo Proxes 4 or another set of the Dunlop's.

Milmoejoe: I actually use their DH tires and thought I might try their car tires.

What are you guys basing the "BETTER GRIP" statement on? A Falken 512 doesn't even have that much grip. I have a friend with MA-Z1 and he thinks they are great. I would like to try some myself.
