Malfunctioning rear view camera

I have searched the forum and could not find any topics on this.

The rear view camera has been acting up lately. Last week it started flashing all kinds of colors and then went blank.

A few days later it started working but the image is reversed (left to right) and the distance grid no longer appears?

I haven't brought to the dealership yet. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue?

Hi Al,

I had a very similar issue. It flickered, then went to strange colors and finally failed. When I went into reverse it simply defaulted to the regular audio menu.
I took it to the dealer and after much testing they explained that it was the camera itself that was defective. I suggest you go to the dealer soon, because the parties back ordered here in Canada and I have been waiting on the camera for more than 3 weeks...

I had the same issue with mine.... I took it back to the dealer who said it would take a while to get a replacement camera, so I got them to take one from another CX5 they had as a demo..... Now it works fine.

Same here. Been waiting 5 weeks for a replacement camera.
