So I noticed my mbsp looks like this... image.webp

I see no signs of damage to the rods, no debris floating around. I feel like the previous owner blew up.... Could this cause the car to stumble on idle.

Definitely looks like a rod has been slung at some point. The engine was likely replaced and the upper OP was reused for some reason (I would not have done that). The replacement engine was likely a non turbo FSDE, in which case the upper OP is different and is not tapped for turbo oil return line. I doubt that would cause any idling issue though.

The car runs at 10hg of vacuum. It isn't very consistent at holding a specific amount of hg either.

Better question, were is the cheapest place to get a new one? I briefly looked, and these are pricey.

A massive vacuum leak, the hole in the MBSP won't affect much of anything and replacing it requires pulling the trans which honestly isn't worth the trouble.

I just can't find it. I have looked at every vac line. Replace Intake gaskets, exhaust manifold, exh mani gasket, several vac lines, new gauge, injector seals, blah....

The charge piping also could be leaking, but with the engine only pulling that much vacuum it's possible there's low compression as well.

I have all metal piping and a relocated Maf.

So, I guess I need to get a compression test done.
