mah new turbo kit wooo

i talked to them on the phone and they said they offer it. i already have the auto stick so i keep it. wierd. they were kinda blunt people and you are the first to recieve and email from them that i know of.

rebuild kit and convertor and ill call it good for now.

Thanks guys...and Jeff I do know Japtrix...I think you are the 1 they was talking about..as far as the turbo p5.. I asked them about it when I was there and they said they installed 1 before..they work with Cybernation in Ft.lauderdale... There shop is behind the Wendy's..military and 6th ave I think

Lost_Concept- i paid 3200 installed and tuned, ya supa they are behind the wendys on military and lake worth, behind audio fx and that body shop

Did you say that it was non-intercooled? If so, your motor is as good as gone with a T04.

From what you have posted so far, this tells me that you and the shop you had do the install know's nothing about exhaust flow and how to properly size a turbo to a motor.

The exhaust flow from the FS-DE motor is not enough to support the T04 series turbos until you get to right at max rpm. Why in the world would you use a T04? The only use for a T04 is if you only do drag racing.(ie: a professional drag car) You are going to have so much lag that whoever you are racing will have bus lengths on you by the time your turbo kicks in. You should have gone with a T3/T4. By you saying that the T04 is bigger than the T04, you state again that you know nothing about turbos. The T3/T4 is basically the turbine(exhaust) side of a T3 series, and the T04(compressor) side of the T04 series. This will give better efficiency of compression with the quick spool characteristics of the small T3 turbine.

Your motor will be a goner within 3 months. I guarantee it. Good luck though, because you will need it with your lack of knowledge.

wow ur such a cool guy, i wish i had such knowledge standards of yourself!, ya this shop knows nothing about flow they have only been turboing mazdas for 15 years, no big deal and i get full boost at 3k rpm btw since you think i have "lag" issues, and i also know people taht have the same turbo as me on street cars with no problems so not sure what you mean by its a professional drag car setup. you also said i said that the to4 is bigger then the to4???? uhhh you just stated the same turbo is bigger then then same turbo hah, just cuz ur car doesnt make hp til 6000 rpm dont take ur frustration out on me, and no, i dont have much knowledge of turbos, i stated that in my 1st post if you read it....

mp5jeff,

I think the take away from Big_Ben (is actually quite knowledgable) is that you setup does raise a couple of issues. The Non-intercooled aspect of the kit in combination with the rather large turbo is a bit concerning...only in the sense that no one likes to see a blown engine. Question: what are you using to run fuel management? and FMU from the price.....

Is the turbo a Mitsubishi TO4b or a Garret T4? there is a huge difference from the two.....the Mitsu TO4b sounds like the one you have from the characteristics of spooling up at aroun 3000. A Garret T4 would never be able to spool up that quickly.

This is not a negative post...more concern that anything and a request for some clarification. There are a TON of knowledgable people that can OFFER you ADVICE on this topic...again no onw wants to see a blown engine.

My head hurts from reading that.

Yes it is a big difference. The T04 is pretty much the equivilant to the Garrett T3. The T05H is the 16G which is similar to a T3/T4. But still, non-intercooled is just dumb.

Ben you are dumb:p
I love your straight foward no BS awnsers....a true Texan:D
Hey dick, I take offense to that! I'm from Alabama, not Texas! I'm a transplant Texan.:p :D

hey bigben maybe you didnt read the post, i have a automatic tranny untill i swap trannies i cant put an intercooler on there, tranny wont be able to withstand the extra power, once i have the money im doing it all at once..tranny and intercooler, nonintercooled it kinda dumb but thats all i can do for now

Just keep the boost at 5psi or below and you should be ok as long as you don't drive like a hormonal teenager that thinks he has something to prove.:D

nah bro i aint one of those acctualy im 20 so..., i pretty much stay out of boost as much as possible and its at 5psi so its ok for now, cant wait to switch trannies and get intercooler and up the boost to 12, gona throw my ass in the seat(it better) =)

the autos wont throw you in your seat at 12, i ran 13. you feel it but its not like a manual, you dont slow down like they do to shift but since its smooth you dont get the push in your seat.

20 psi, well... ill let you know. ;)
