Hey guys,

I got a couple of questions for you. One, as many of you know and remember, the clutch chatter issue on our cars caused quite a stir. Just the other day i finally got time to drop teh car (27K miles in one year, 2003 PR5) off at the dealership to have them address the issue but since its much warmer now (clutch chatter usually during cold weather) the service guy is giving me the "i cant replicate the problem" line while he did the test drive. Any suggestions for what i can do say so these people address the issue. I left the car there overnight so that they can start it while its cold.

Question two, i need to raplce tires on my car. What are some excellent High performance tires (original equipment 195/50-16) that i can get?

Thanks for any input. Take care.

I've got the Kumho Ecsta's and they're a great tire, not too expensive either. I paid about $75 each.

Nothing you can do, I had the same problem. A TSB is not a recall, and they are not required to replace it. Just live with it until it wears out and replace it with an ACT street clutch...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Some other people recomended the same Kuhmo tires as well. Have been gettin good feedback on those tires so i will probably consider them.

The flywheel is on a big time backorder. They'll just give you the "can't replicate the problem" speil. That's what I got, and mine is really prominate with the AWR mounts. At least they resurfaced my flywheel while replacing the shortblock. Still chatters though.

I used a set of Sumitomo HTRZ II tires last year. Great traction, Good wet traction, but noisy as all get up. I just went back to the stock tire, that I bought from Mike R ;), and noticed a WORLD of diffrence in ride quality and noise.

If you are looking into getting new tires I HIGHLY suggest going to www.tirerack.com and reading the reviews of diffrent tires. You can compare and contrast every tire they have available for your specific size.

Glad the tires are working well! (thumb)

Kuhmo's are good for the price. I'd really like some Michelin pilots, but the $200+ a tire is too much!

maybe u should drive it and purposley let go more of the clutch while adding gas.... clutch slips more.... creates that hopping kinda thing... u can't really replicate the cltuch chatter everytime.....

my advice is don't bother getting it fixed..... cause you're bound to have some other problem come up after the fix it..... unless your clutuch is worn and want a free cltuch then u should get it fixed...
