Besides getting a discount with your insurance company and perhaps getting them to pay for your deductible if your vehicle is never found...pretty much useless because all newer cars including CX-9 come with the theft deterrent ignition that makes it harder (not impossible) to steal a vehicle, plus CX-9 is not anywhere on the top most stolen vehicles last time I checked...so why dish out the $300-600 that you may never use. Just my opinion...

If you garage your car at night I would say it's a waste of money. I have heard some cities don't even have the equipment to locate lojack vehicles. Also if you park your car at the airport and come back and your car is stolen, odds are it's long gone since they don't activate the transmitter until you find out your car is stolen, which might not be 20 minutes later but days later.
