Leather wipes gone wild. Clean up?

Hi all,

My wife decided she was going to do something special for my birthday and took my 2013 GT CX5 with black interior to vacuum, clean it, etc. She bought some Meguiar's Leather Wipes at Target to clean the seats and leather. To my surprise, a day or two later I noticed streaks and a few white scuff marks (looks like sunscreen) on the seats. I also noticed that it looks like she took the wipes to, what she thought was leather, on the doors near the elbow rests. Needless to say those areas of the doors looks greasy and streaky.

After reading about the product on the internet today, it looks like she made multiple mistakes. Clearly she was just trying to be nice, but now I need to do some damage control. Should I continue to use these in hopes of evening things out, just let it wear off (will it?), or use another method (water, another product?)?

What should I do for the areas she hit that aren't leather to de-grease/shine them?

Leather/vinyl should never be "shined". Hence the reason a detailer's goal is to restore the factory clean matte finish.

You can try original Woolite 2oz diluted into 16-20oz warm water as a spray solution. Use it to wipe down and clean any plastic, vinyl, or leather surface. Go over with a clean damp towel.

1) Soap and water
2) Leather Master Soft Cleaner will also work
3) Any mild cleaner really...

I use soap and water 99% of the time. It's pretty rare you need something else. I use LM Protectant for the seats and vinyl

What he said. Might try the woolite mix. But usually any mild soap or detergent whacked with water will be fine.

Degreasers are too strong for leather. Avoid anything but dedicated automotive leather cleaners or diluted Woolite. Mild cleaners/detergent if you MUST, but I usually shy away from those as well.
